Why did you return to Indy for another year?

I returned to Indy because I felt that I needed to improve more in some areas to become a more complete basketball player. And I know this program will help me achieving my goals.

How did you start playing basketball?

I started playing basketball thanks to my father. At first, I wanted to try soccer but my father, who loves basketball, told me that I would first try basketball and that if I didn’t like it, I could try soccer. So, thirteen years later here I am, still playing basketball!

What is your favorite part of the game?

It is really difficult to choose just one part because I’m in love with the game! But I think that one of the best parts is when my team is playing good defense, the bench is cheering, the coach is shouting to keep the good defense, the public is cheering, and the other team runs out of possessions. I like that moments because I feel like everyone is working together for the same goal. I like the feeling of unity that it creates.

What is your favorite memory of playing basketball?

One of my favorite moments was when my team reached the Final Four to play in the Spanish Basketball Championship. But it is very difficult to choose just one!

What is your biggest goal in your basketball career?

Right now, my biggest goal in my basketball career is achieving the characteristics of a complete basketball player. And then, obviously, I want to play at the highest level.

How did you end up at ICC?

I heard about the good opportunities that this college could bring me. I felt like ICC may be a good option to start in this country and get used to the style of baseketball here.

What do you want to major in (primary course of study) at a 4-year school?

I want to major in journalism.

What career/job do you hope to have someday?

Apart from playing basketball, I would like to be a journalist and be able to travel, do research, and write my own articles.

Who is your biggest role model in life and why?

I would say that my biggest role model in life is my mother. She has taught me everything. She is an inspiration of hard work, consistency, being brave, and of adapting to new situations.

What is your favorite TV show, book, or movie?

I love watching TV shows and movies, but I prefer reading. My favorite books are a collection of poems called “Poemas” (1935-1975) by Octavio Paz and “Call me by your name” by André Aciman.

What is your favorite song? List the title & artist.

I admire Bruce Springsteen so I would say that I like all his songs but if I had to choose, I would say that my favorite ones are “Further On (Up the Road)” and “Dancing In the Dark”.

What is your favorite hobby outside of sports?

I like playing the piano, writing, drawing and reading.
