The Indy Pirates Women's Basketball team upset the No.17 nationally-ranked Hutchinson Blue Dragons at home on Wednesday night, 70-64. The victory marked the first win over Hutch for ICC women's hoops since the 2006-07 season. It also marked their first win over Hutch in the ICC Field House since 1999.

Indy moved to a 6-1 overall record (4-1 Jayhawk Conference).

The #DreamU Pirates were led by two outstanding scoring performances by sophomore Maisa Marcal with 21 points and freshman Miriam Bazylewicz with 20. Bazylewicz and fellow freshman Rapaluchi Ngorka also dominated the boards with 7 rebounds each. ICC also got scoring contributions from Kaitlyn Rasmussen (7), Delani Harris (6), Eriel West and Ngorka (5 each), Laurie Cren (4), and Mira Khan (2).

After winning by a point at halftime, the Pirates went down 5 in the third quarter after a rally by the Blue Dragons. However, Indy surged back ahead in the fourth quarter with a 21-13 point margin, which included chipping in a few final free-throws to seal the win.

In the second half, the #DreamU women shot 46% from the field and 44% from the three-point line to attain the historic victory.
