Lady Pirates Pick Up Big Win In Season Opener

MOBERLY, Mo. - With the season now in full swing, the Independence Lady Pirates began play in the Moberly Classic Friday against the Southwestern Illinois Blue Storm. The Lady Pirates picked up a convincing win defeating the Blue Storm 73-56. The Lady Pirates were lead by freshman center Brittany Reeves with 17 points and sophomore Kierra Crockett with 15 points.  

Independence (1-0) returns to the Moberly Classic tomorrow to face the Marshalltown Tigers with tipoff at 1 pm.
