On the road for the first time in nearly a month, the ICC Pirate softball team split with the Hesston College Larks. The Pirates took the first game of last Saturday's double header with a 5-4 win, showing their toughness by taking a win in an opponent's ballpark for the first time since March 17th. However, the bats fell short in game two, as the hometown Larks rallied to post a 10-2 win.
Independence softball will be back in action this Wednesday for the last home game of April when they take on conference foe Cloud County. The games start at 2pm.
