An All-American collegiate athlete, Shavonda brings 10 years of coaching experience in JUCO, NAIA and Division I basketball.

While at Central Methodist the Eagles went 51-14 during her two-year stint with the program they were ranked as high as 6th in the Nation. In her two seasons at Central they were able to win the Heart of America Women's Basketball Conference Tournament title and set a new season win record of 31-2. The program was nationally ranked in 22 categories, headlined by a No. 2 standing in total assists (602).
A native of New York City, NY Shavonda played collegiately at Defiance College where she was a defensive playmaker, racking up the most steals in the conference, and the third highest block total. Shavonda’s campaign included being named the Hubbard Co. – Pro Rehab Tournament MVP and being named to the HCAC All-Tournament Team. She was also a member of the Track & Field team where she earned Most Outstanding Freshman Female Athlete, Freshmen Athlete-of-the-Year, won first-place in 4x400 relay team and won the open 400-meter dash, while also claiming second place in the 200-meter dash and javelin throw, and third in the long jump. After her sophomore year she then transferred to Johnson C. Smith University where she would finish up her career. A team captain and Co-MVP, she was an All-CIAA Conference First Team selection, CIAA All-Academic Team, and led the Golden Bulls in scoring and steals. Shavonda finished 4th in the CIAA for points per game was also 4th in the league for steals. Shavonda graduated from Johnson C. Smith University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management: Administration in 2013. She later earned a Master of Science in Education: Athletic Administration from Central Methodist University in 2020.
