Title: Offensive Coordinator

Marlon Barnett enters his first season here at Indy in 2025

Marlon Barnett began his coaching journey in 2006 at College of the Canyons, where he spent six years as an assistant for outside wide receivers and co-offensive coordinator. During this time, he played a key role in developing numerous Division I receivers. He then transitioned to Long Beach Wilson in 2013, serving as the Varsity Offensive Coordinator and leading an offense that consistently averaged over 350 total yards and 28 points per game. Barnett's reputation grew as he moved to Los Angeles Harbor College for three years, taking on roles as offensive coordinator, wide receivers coach, and strength and conditioning coordinator. It was here that his "Air Raid - Score From Far" offense truly took off, producing top-tier junior college players, including First-Team All-American Corey Butler-Byrd, and other receivers who went on to excel at various collegiate and professional levels. He continued his success at Los Angeles Valley College, where his receivers again led the state in key categories, and he coached the state's top kick/punt returner. Before moving to Las Vegas, he was the passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach at East Los Angeles College, developing two First-Team All-Conference wide receivers.

After relocating to Las Vegas, Marlon made a significant impact on several high school football programs, including Canyon Springs, Centennial, and Arbor View. As the offensive coordinator at Centennial, his offense was prolific, averaging over 48 points and 425 yards per game, setting state records, and culminating in a state championship win. He then took over a struggling Arbor View High School team, transforming their 4-6 record into an impressive 10-2 season and the school's first-ever state championship appearance, with their only 2 losses coming against nationally ranked Bishop Gorman. Under his guidance, Arbor View's offense continued to set state records, averaging 42 points and over 450 yards per game, powered by highly-ranked talents like quarterback Thaddeus Thatcher, wide receiver Damani Warren, and tight end Zac Fares.

Marlon's success has now brought him to Indy, where he aims to revitalize an offense that faced challenges last year. Beyond his extensive knowledge of offense, defense, special teams, and strength and conditioning, Marlon also brings a strong psychology background, emphasizing the mental aspects of the game. He is committed to continuing his mentorship of young athletes, helping them not only in football but also guiding them toward success in life beyond the sport.

Marlon is originally from Los Angeles, Ca and has 5 wonderful kids (4 boys and 1 girl); Marquis (19), Malik (17), Bryson (16), Maddox (11), Marlo (9)
