INDEPENDENCE, Kan. - The Independence Volleyball team remains winless in KJCCC play as they fell in straight sets to 8th-ranked Johnson County Tuesday night.
The Pirates struggled to ever gain any momentum, as the Cavaliers were very efficient offensively to lead to the 15-25, 19-25, 15-25 victory.
A pair of freshmen led the way for Indy, as Middle Blocker Keeley Brown had seven kills on 12 attempts, while Defensive Specialist, Ary Rodriguez, led the way with 10 digs and also added two service aces.
The loss moves the Pirates to 8-21 overall and 0-6 in KJCCC play. They now gear up for a non-conference home match against Seminole State College out of Oklahoma on Thursday. The two teams squared off just a few days ago, on October 4th, a five set victory for Seminole State.
