Indy Women can't hang with #7 Dodge City

DODGE CITY, Kan. - The Dodge City Women's basketball team looked the part of the number seven team in the country as they knocked off Independence 114-37 on Wednesday night.

The Lady Pirates knew they had their work cut out for them, and they did right from the jump as just nine seconds into the game, Dodge City buried their first of 14 three pointers on the night, sparking an early 10-0 run. 10 of the Conquistidors 14 three pointers came in the first half, never allowing the Lady Pirates to get back in the game and propelled Dodge City to a 46 point halftime advantage.

Turnovers plauged Indy all night, as 33 turnover led to 51 points for Dodge City. The Lady Conquistidors shot 57% from the field to Indy's 27.5%, and had five players finish in double figures. Independence did battle on the glass all night long, as they pulled down 29 rebounds, 11 of which came on the offensive end.
