Priscila Augusto

The Jayhawk Conference-Eastern Division Most Valuable Player in 2002, Priscila Augusto (Tricta) went down as one of the all-time great players in Independence Community College volleyball history. Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Augusto spent two seasons at ICC. During her freshman campaign, she earned All-Jayhawk East First Team honors as the Lady Pirates tied for fourth place in the final conference standings. Her play stepped up even more during her sophomore season. She helped lead ICC to a 33-17 overall record, which included a perfect 9-0 slate in the Jayhawk East to claim the conference championship. She went on to earn the conference's top honor as MVP and was also First Team All-Jayhawk East and First Team NJCAA Region VI-Division I All-District M. She was also an NJCAA All-American during her time in the program. Upon graduating from ICC, Augusto went on to play at NCAA Division I Northwestern State University, where she became the first Lady Demon in program history to earn conference honors as she was named All-Southland Conference Second Team in 2003. That season, she finished second on the team with 314 kills and ranked tied for 11th in the league with a 3.24 kills per game average. Currently, Priscila resides in Vernon, Conn.
