The Barton Community College women's basketball team knocked off top seeded Independence Community College 73-62 in Friday's afternoon Region VI semifinals at Salina's Tony's Pizza Event Center.

Jenny Nkem Womsi collected her 14th double-double of the season pulling down a game high 14 rebounds to go with 13 points. Morgan Meyers added eight of her 13 points in first half action.
