Coach Rob Beckmann and Independence Pirates Women's Basketball is set to host a 4-Day Basketball Camp for both girls and boys, ages 5-11 and 12-17, scheduled to take place from May 2 to May 5, 2024. The camp will be held at the FirstOak Bank & Oakes Family Fieldhouse located on the ICC campus.

The camp will take place each day from 5:30 - 7:30PM, and will focus on skill building, individual and team competitions, and encouraging a love for the game that will boost each athlete's mindset and skillset heading into their upcoming basketball seasons.

Camp will be lead by current Independence Pirates basketball players, along with coaches Rob Beckmann and Kayla Schumaker. The Pirates defeated multiple nationally-ranked teams this past season, and several players running camp will be graduating this May to continue their careers at the NCAA D1, D2, and NAIA levels.

"Our basketball camp will be an extremely fun experience for everyone involved," said Coach Beckmann. "Our current players at Independence will be heavily involved in giving campers a college-level training experience in which they boost both their skills and love for the game."
