Alumni Update - Week 9

Rakeem Boyd 

Arkansas picked up a huge win Saturday and the success of Rakeem Boyd continued.  

Boyd picked up 99n yards on 22 carries while also hauling in 14 yards on three receptions in Arkansas the Razorbacks' 23-0 victory over Tulsa. 

Arkansas (2-6) is at home again next week hosting the Vanderbilt Commodores.  

Emmit Gooden 

The Tennessee Volunteers struggled Saturday falling 58-21 to Alabama, but Emmit Gooden had a day as the former Pirate recorded five tackles. 

Tennessee (3-4) is on the road next week facing off with the South Carolina Gamecocks. 

Ray Buford 

The New Mexico State Aggies came up short in a shootout Saturday to Georgia Southern falling 48-31, but that didn't stop Ray Buford from adding to his resume as the former Pirate recorded five tackles. 

New Mexico (2-6) travels to San Marcos next week to face the Texas State Bobcats. 

DJ Williams 

The Utah State Aggies picked up a valuable win Saturday and DJ Williams continued to impress in the stat line as the former Independence cornerback recorded six tackles in a 24-16 win over Wyoming. 

Utah State (6-1) returns home next week to take on the New Mexico Lobos. 

Jonathan Banks 

The Tulane Green Wave lost a close battle on Saturday, but the stats for Jonathan Banks were somewhat impressive as Banks went 14-for-22 passing for 153 yards and also found the end zone once on the ground picking up 34 yards on 18 carries in a 27-23 loss to SMU. 

Tulane (2-5) is on the road next week traveling to play the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. 

Carlos Thompson 

The Missouri Western State Griffons picked up a valuable win on the road Saturday and former Independence receiver Carlos Thompson contributed with two receptions for 21 yards in a 42-28 win over Emporia State. 

Missouri Western State (5-3) returns home next week to host the Pittsburg State Gorillas. 

Paul Wolff 

The Missouri Southern State Lions finally put one in the win column and contributing to the victory was Paul Wolff who made a 44-yard field goal in a 24-19 victory over Northeastern State. 

Missouri Southern State (1-7) is at home next week facing the Central Oklahoma Bronchos.
