Indy 31 - 28 Butler

Indy 31 - 28 Butler

After 20 years of futility, the Pirates broke a losing streak to Butler dating back to 1997.  Down 8-0 at halftime, Indy fell farther behind in the 3rd quarter after giving up two long passing plays on busted coverages.

However, the Pirates rallied in the 4th quarter and outscored the Grizzlies 17-0 in the 4th quarter, including a FG with 00:03 left on the clock to take the lead for the first time in the game.  After penalty on the Pirates for celebrating on the field before the final whistle, Butler had one last opportunity to steal the game back.  But their last-gasp kick return ended with tackle and Indy put an end to a streak that saw the Pirates lose by an average of 50 points per game for nearly 20 years.

With the win, Indy improves to 4-4 on the season, and maintaining a 3-game winning streak.  Next week, the Pirates will face off away against Coffeyville in their final regular season game of the year, with a kickoff time of 7pm.
