With 45 total points scored in the 1st quarter on Saturday night, the Pirates and Highland were on pace for a record-setting shootout.  However, both defenses tightened up and Indy scored the only 3 points in the 2nd quarter with 0:09 on the clock, tying the game at 24 going into the locker rooms for halftime.

The third quarter has been tough for Indy, allowing points to the opposition on their opening drive in each of the previous 5 games.  However, the Pirates remained locked in and carried the momentum created in the 2nd quarter throughout the rest of the game, ending with more takeaways (3) in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters than points allowed (0) in that same time frame. 

With the win, Indy moves to 2-4 on the season, with three games left on the schedule.  Up next is a bye week, to recover and prepare for an away matchup with Hutchinson CC on Saturday, October 29.
