Cowboys Win First True Road Test in Kansas

Independence, Kansas- The Connors State College Cowboys went on the road to Independence Community College on Wednesday Night and came away with a 82-67 win on the pirates home floor.

The Cowboys were down 3 at the half 36-39. In the second half the cowboys largest lead was 18 before the final margin of 15. The copwboys started the second half on a 7-0 run to gain controle of the game before Independence made a late run at the cowboys. The cowboys withstood the run and finished the game off at the Foul Line.

The Cowboys had 5 players finish in double figures, lead by Sophomore forward Bradyn Hubbard who finished with 19 points. Ty Frierson recorded 14 points. Donyae May and Khamani Cooper had 13 points. Antonio Green had 10 points. Buddy Hammer Jr had 7 points. Saiyd Burnside had 3 Points and Percy Green had 3 points.

The cowboys shot 47 percent from the floor on the night and 33 percent from the three.

The Cowboys are back in action on Monday Night at 7:00pm at Home against Southwestern Christian University. Tip-Off is set for 7:00pm
