As a freshman, she averaged 18.1 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists in leading the Lady Pirates to the Jayhawk Conference-Eastern Division and Region VI championships. She was named to the Jayhawk East All-Conference First Team and was the conference’s Freshman of the Year. The ultimate honor came when Terenjuk was awarded the WBCA Junior College All-American and Kodak All-American honors in 1994-95 while maintaining her 4.0 GPA. After Independence, she continued her basketball career as a Lady Titan at the University of Detroit Mercy. She started 21 games for the Lady Titans, including the final 17 games of the 1995-96 season. She hit an even 50 percent from the floor and reached double figures in scoring 12 times.
