Pirates split with Greyhounds, prepare for Sophomore Night

As April rolls to May and finals week looms, the Indy Pirates Softball team started off their last month of action with a resounding win vs the Fort Scott Greyhounds. Showing their grit and toughness on the road (on the same day as their fellow Pirates would walk the stage on graduation, no less), Indy Softball would take the first game of the Saturday double header 6-3 in nine innings.

The second game featured less scoring, tougher defense, and a 1 run loss for the Pirates who gave it their all and made the hometown Greyhounds fight their way to a win and an overall split between the two teams.

Up next for the Pirates is Sophomore night vs Johnson County. It'll be the last games of the regular season for Indy, as well as a chance to send their graduates off on a high note at home. First pitch is at 2pm, Tuesday May 10th.
