GAME ONE

Red Devils Defeats Independence CC In Blow Out Victory Thanks To Fourth Inning Boost

Red Devils defeated Independence CC 8-1 on Saturday, March 19th in game one thanks to a timely five runs in a big fourth inning. Bella Gravatt, Madelynn Collins, and Lacey Stamper all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Collins earned the victory in the pitcher's circle for the Red Devils. Collins surrendered one run on seven hits over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one.

Graci Buckley took the loss for Independence CC. The bulldog allowed eight hits and seven runs over four and a third innings, striking out six and walking one.

The Red Devils hit one home run on the day. Kinsey Stuewe put one out in the fifth inning.

The Red Devils tallied nine hits in the game. Stamper and Stuewe each collected multiple hits for the Red Devils. Stamper led the Red Devils with three hits in four at bats. The Red Devils were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Morgan Baska made the most plays with nine.

GAME TWO

Skyler Throws Shutout As the Red Devils Defeats Independence CC

Skyler Jackson shut down Independence CC, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Red Devils to a 3-0 victory in game two.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Jackson struck out four, while Kenna Ferguson sat down one.

In the first inning, the Red Devils got their offense started when Mikayla Long doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Jackson was credited with the victory for the Red Devils. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out four and walking one.

Ferguson took the loss for Independence CC. The hurler lasted six innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out one and walking one.

Long went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Red Devils in hits.

The Red Devils are now 7-11 on the season and 2-2 in conference play. They are back in action this Thursday, March 24 against Fort Scott CC at 2:00 & 4:00pm.
