The Independence Community College Lady Pirates defeated Barton County Community College 71-59 Wednesday night. The visiting Pirates jumped out to an early start and nver looked back. ICC went into half time with a 38-31 lead, and never trailed the remainder of the game.

The Lady Pirates outscored the Cougars 16-8 in the final quarter.

Erica Moore led the Pirates with 18 points in 23 minutes, while Mychaell Gray contributed 14 points off the bench in 20 minutes of work.

Alek Akuen lead both squads with 12 rebounds.

Taylor Regan led the Cougars with 18 points in 33 minutes.

ICC has a conference records of 16-4 and is 18-5 overall.
