ICC moves to 3-1 with win at Iowa Central

Independence Community College continued its impressive start to 2017 with a road win at Iowa Central Community College on Saturday.  ICC defeated ICCC 47-7, and enforced their will on the home team all game long.

After a season-opening loss to Iowa Western at home, the Pirates have now won three straight games.  ICC bounced back to pick up win number one on the road at Ft Scott in week two, then upset defending NJCAA National Champion Garden City at home in game number three.

Last week, Indy was on their bye week, and used that time off to get healthy and continue to gameplan for the back half of the season.

The bye week seemed to pay off immediately, as ICC jumped out to an early 7-0 lead in the first quarter, then tacked on 24 points in an explosive second quarter to go into the locker room up 31-0.

Although Iowa Central did score in the third, Indy added two more scores in the fourth to come away with the 47-7 win.

ICC (3-1, 2-0) heads to Dodge City next week.
