Pirates ranked No.7 in latest NJCAA football poll

The Independence Community College Pirates football team recently broke into the top 10 national poll when they were ranked no. 7 in the latest NJCAA Division I football rankings on October 3. This ranking comes after the pirates' four wins in a row against Fort Scott, Garden City, Iowa Central and Dodge City. In the previous poll, released on September 26, ICC was ranked 12.

The pirates earned 123.84 points in the poll, coming in just behind no. 6 Snow Community College (129.85 points). The points are determined by the NJCAA Football Poll Committee and the NJCAA Football Computer Rankings (FCR).

ICC returns to action against Ellsworth Community College on Saturday, October 7 at Shulthis Stadium in Independence, KS.
