Indy 46 - 21 Coffeyville

Indy 46 - 21 Coffeyville

The Pirates used four takeaways in the 1st quarter (with seven total takeaways throughout the game) to build a 23-14 halftime lead over the Coffeyville Red Ravens.  With a safety and a defensive touchdown scored on a fumble recovery and return, Indy pushed further ahead in the 2nd half and won the game handily, 46-21.

The win marked only the 2nd victory for the Pirates over the Red Ravens in nearly 20 tries, dating back to the 1990s.  Combined with victories over Hutch and Butler, the four-game winning streak set a new mark in Indy football history.  This is the first season in 50 years that the Pirates beat all three of Hutch, Butler and Coffeyville in the same season.

The final NJCAA polls showed Indy receiving votes for the first time this season, and the first time in several years.
