The all-time leading receiver in Pirate football history, Reggie Rembert is one of the most electrifying players ever to step on the field for ICC. He finished his Pirate career with 67 catches for 1,440 yards during a two-year span in which ICC went to two bowl games — the Valley of the Sun Bowl in 1986 and the Dixie Rotary Bowl in 1987 — and compiled an overall record of 15-7 team record. That included an incredible 1987 campaign in which the Pirates finished 8-3, tied for the most wins in school history, and knocked off the No. 1 team in the country, Coffeyville. Rembert was named NJCAA All-American at the end of that 1987 season. After two seasons at ICC, he transferred to West Virginia University, where he played his final two seasons of collegiate ball. There, he was part of a mountaineer team that played Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl his junior campaign. As a senior, he had 47 catches for 850 yards. He still ranks sixth in WVU history with 18 receiving touchdowns and is 16th with 1,366 yards. Rembert was drafted by the New York Jets in the second round as the 28th overall pick of the 1990 NFL Draft. He was eventually traded to the Cincinnati Bengals, where he played in 28 games over three seasons (1991-93). He had 36 receptions in the NFL for 437 yards and one touchdown.
