Considered a catalyst in the success of women’s basketball at ICC, Malgorzata Raubo was the first international player to ever participate in the Jayhawk Conference and became a dominant force for the Lady Pirates.

     Nicknamed “Go Go”, Raubo played at ICC for two seasons from 1991-93 and was named an NJCAA All-American a s well as a two-time All-Jayhawk Conference-Eastern Division selection. She was an instrumental part of the Lady Pirates’ run to the Jayhawk East and Region VI championship in 1993. ICC surpassed the 30-win mark for the season and finished fourth at the NJCAA Tournament in Tyler, Texas.

      Raubo still holds eight Lady Pirate records, including most points in a game (41), points in a season (763), points in a career (1,375), field goals in a game (19), field goals in a career (419), free throws in a career (240), blocked shots in a game (15), and blocked shots in a season (236).

     After two seasons at ICC, Raubo went on to attend Auburn University. She was named to the Preseason All-Southeast Conference Team but had to battle through injuries both seasons.
